Clément Goyon is a research scientist in the Physical and Life Sciences Directorate at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in the U.S. He serves as deputy hub leader for the IFE-STAR Hub, where he coordinates work across 10 institutions to advance the science and technology needed for inertial fusion energy. As one of two primary points of contact between the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fusion Energy Sciences program and LLNL, he plays a key role in fostering collaboration and driving innovation. Goyon also leads the diagnostic team for the megajoule neutron radiography project and supports strategic partnerships with industry and academia, including collaborations with Zap Energy, and user facility initiatives. His research focuses on experimental plasma physics, plasma diagnostics, and high-energy-density science. He earned his Ph.D. in physics from École Polytechnique in France and has authored more than 70 publications in the field.
