Henry Jerez is the Senior Vice President for AI Infrastructure at Oracle. Previously Dr. Jerez served as the General Manager for AI experience infrastructure and Ambient Computing Coherence at Google, and the CTO for Azure Edge Devices Platform and services at Microsoft; where he helped secure and democratize access to HW accelerated AI powered experiences and devices for edge devices at Microsoft including Windows IoT, Azure Sphere, Azure Percept and Microsoft’s AI and Video analytics services. He has led several teams and helped bring multiple v1 hardware and software products with multiple companies to the market. His work includes contributions to Facebook’s computational photography services for Instagram, messenger and Facebook app, Azure Linux IaaS, Hololens, Windows Hello and Azure Machine Learning. Dr. Jerez comes from a background in research and product with positions with Los Alamos National Labs, CNRI, Microsoft and Facebook. He holds several patents and publications, a B.Sc. degree in Systems Engineering, M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering and Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from the University of New Mexico.
