For the past ten years, Keith Marcinowski, Ph.D. has worked in Frozen Handheld & Spreads Research & Development as a member of the Advanced Science and Technology Scouting group at The J.M. Smucker Co. His current responsibilities include identifying and assessing business growth opportunities with a focus on new ingredients, new processes, and new equipment for the Consumer Retail Strategic Business Area. This is accomplished by identifying, evaluating, and delivering solutions that provide tangible value for existing and new products, processes, and technologies. In this role, he collaborates with internal customers (i.e., R&D, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Quality Assurance, and Operations) to identify technical and product solutions that align with the long-term strategic goals of the company. He also engages and collaborates with external customers including entrepreneurs, early-stage start-up companies, commercial companies, and academic institutions to conduct proof-of-concept assessments of targeted solutions.
