Nilanjan Sarkar

About Nilanjan Sarkar

Nilanjan Sarkar is the David K. Wilson Professor of Engineering and a professor of mechanical engineering, computer sciences, and electrical and computer engineering at Vanderbilt University. He currently serves as the vice dean for the School of Engineering. Sarkar earned his doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania in mechanical engineering and applied mechanics with a specialization in robotics. His current research interests include human–robot and human-computer interaction, virtual and augmented reality, affective computing, dynamics, and control. Sarkar is a Fellow of American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
