About Jerald Schnoor

Jerald Schnoor is Allen S. Henry Chair in Engineering, Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Professor of Occupational and Environmental Health, and co-director of the Center Global & Regional Environmental Research at the University of Iowa.  Schnoor’s research interests include phytoremediation, water quality modeling, exposure assessment, and climate change.  He is a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, elected for research and engineering leadership in the development, validation, and utilization of mathematical models for global environmental decision-making.  Schnoor served as editor-in-chief of Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T), and as the founding editor-in-chief of ES&T Letters.
