Emily Narvaes Wilmsen is the Director of Communications and Strategic Marketing for the Walter Scott, Jr. College of Engineering at Colorado State University. She has spent equal parts of her award-winning career in journalism and public relations. She worked as a reporter at the Boulder Daily Camera and later a business reporter and assistant business editor for The Denver Post. She transitioned into media relations for CSU’s science colleges before venturing into community relations for the Sustainability Services Area at the City of Fort Collins, Colorado – the only city in the country to organize a division around the triple-bottom-line. She co-authored the nomination that led to Fort Collins being named one of two international Cities for Action by C40 Cities Bloomberg Philanthropies Awards in 2017. She has a B.S. in journalism with honors from the University of Colorado, Boulder.
