Bea (Birgit) Bruan is a chemical engineer who serves as a principal research scientist, data science & hybrid modeling, for Dow, where she has worked since 2011. Prior to that, she worked as a research scientist and as an engineer. She possesses strong domain knowledge in polymer and material science, plastics and hydrocarbons manufacturing, and analytical techniques. She earned masters and doctorate degrees in chemical engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and earned an undergraduate degree in process engineering in industrial environmental protection from Montanuniversitat Loeben (Austria).
