About Sunil Sinha

Dr. Sinha is a tenured Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech. In addition, he is Director of the Sustainable Water Infrastructure Management (SWIM) Center. His research, teaching, and consulting are in the areas of water infrastructure management, sustainability, pattern recognition, sensor informatics, and resilience, especially water systems. Dr. Sinha has completed and assisted in the completion of various National Science Foundation (NSF), EPA, Water Research Foundation, U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, U.S. Department of Energy, and other government and privately funded research and design projects related to water infrastructure systems. Dr. Sinha has extensive knowledge, experience, and water utility support on the subject matter from across the country and around the world.
